Ernie: The Autobiography is both fascinating and entertaining. Ernest Borgnine is an engaging storyteller. He brings his stories alive with vivid and fun detail.
You get to see the man behind the screen with these snippets of his life. You are with him when he, as a young man, is in the Navy. You are on set with him as you journey through his film and TV career. You are there with his several heart-breaking marriages, and then, when he finally finds true love.
Borgnine does not dwell on the negatives in his life but rather the positives. His stories are positive and uplifting. This man has class.
Ernie: The Autobiography was one of the most delightful autobiographies I have read in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, couldn't put it down, and highly recommend it.
